  1. A man named Roman Skaskiw asked himself a question, "Are you still in the army?" He explains about being "a name on the list" and saying, "at the eight year mark, I would have been allowed to resign my commission and irrevocably separate myself from the military, but my number came up at the seven year and two month mark, mobilizing me, as the letter said in all capital letters, (FOR 545 DAYS UNLESS EXTENDED)." later after he had done the "545 days," he came across a most difficult choice for him at the time between "remaining part of the I.I.R, or resigning for honorable discharge."
  2. Roman Skaskiw a man part of a reserve unit thinks about his life now and what it could be, as he questions him self he is then deployed and later after deployment continues to question him self and finding things to occupy his time, but came to the point of resigning from the military. 
  3. Roman Skaskiw tells of his life in the reserve unit and how he got deployed in moments notice. he then finds daily experiences to pass the time and questions himself until he finally resigns from the military.
